Forced password reset

Due to cyber incident(s) happening around the country, after much discussion with our vendors and security experts, and out of an abundance of caution, we will be initiating a mandatory password change for all users who access the SmartMLS dashboard.

Although none of SmartMLS’s infrastructure has been compromised or impacted in any fashion, we are implementing this password change proactively to maintain the security of our systems and your data.

When you click the MLS Login button on www.smartmls.com, you will encounter the following window:

Please make sure to follow the password guidelines to create a unique and secure password, including:

  • 8-12 characters in length.
  • A mixture of letters, numbers and symbols (non-alphanumeric characters):
    • Upper and lower case letters
    • At least two numeric characters
    • At least one symbol (@, #, $, etc.)
  • Do not reuse a previous password.
  • Do not use your User ID as part of your password.

 

Due to the widespread nature of this issue, we encourage you to change passwords for other sensitive sites you may access.
