Yes, assessors may join SmartMLS. However, they need to have an active Connecticut License. In addition, they need to complete the Subscription Application & Agreement and have it signed by their Broker/Head Appraiser. This paperwork should be emailed directly to membership@smartmls.com.
Once the application has been processed, a welcome email will be sent providing a user ID and instructions for generating a password to access the MLS.
The fees to join are $35.35 per member per month. SmartMLS bills in 6 month cycles (November through April; May through October), not on a monthly basis. The date you join will determine what you are billed for the rest of the current billing cycle. Dues are prorated as of the 25th of the month. If you join within the first 24 days of a month, you will be billed for that entire month, as well as the rest of the months in the current billing cycle. However, if you join on the 25th or after, you will only be billed for the remaining months of the current billing cycle.
